Indian Airlines Indigo and Go First To Resume Scheduled Flights to the Maldives From 15th July

MaldivIan government issued a temporary travel ban to visitors from South Asian countries on 13th May following the rise in COVID19 cases in the country.

The ban resulted in the cancellation of several flights with the most effect on flights from India.


As the travel ban is to be lifted on 15th July, Indian Airlines Go First and Indigo will be restarting scheduled flights to the Maldives.


Go First will operate direct flights from Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai and IndiGo will operate direct flights from Mumbai, Kochi, and Bengaluru.


As of June 2021, the two airlines operated 1,654 flights to the Maldives carrying a total of 94,711 passengers.
