Qatar Defense Ministry Reports Interception of 10 Drones and 2 Cruise Missiles Launched From Iran

The Ministry of Defense of the State of Qatar has announced that the country came under attack at dawn today, confirming that ten drones and two cruise missiles were launched toward Qatari territory from the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the ministry, Qatar’s air, naval, and air‑defense units responded immediately and successfully intercepted all incoming threats before they could reach populated areas or critical infrastructure.

The ministry stated that the Qatar Emiri Air Defense Forces intercepted six drones, while the Qatar Emiri Air Force brought down two drones along with two cruise missiles. The remaining two drones were intercepted by the Qatar Emiri Navy Forces, completing a full neutralization of the attack.
In its statement, the Ministry of Defense emphasized that the Qatar Armed Forces possess full capability and readiness to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territory. It reiterated that Qatar will respond firmly to any external threat and that defensive systems across all branches remain fully prepared.
Authorities urged citizens, residents, and visitors to remain calm, follow official instructions issued by security agencies, and avoid spreading unverified information. The ministry stressed that updates will be released exclusively through official government channels to ensure accuracy and public safety.
The statement concluded with a prayer for the protection of Qatar, its Amir, its people, and all who reside in the country.
