Emirates, the Dubai-based carrier, has a total of 65 Airbus A350-900 aircraft on order. The initial batch of 50 A350s was secured during the 2019 Dubai Airshow, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s fleet expansion. Valued at a staggering $16.5 billion, this deal solidified Emirates’ commitment to modernizing its fleet with state-of-the-art aircraft.
The Emirates-liveried A350 was parked at Airbus’ facilities in Toulouse, where it stood alongside other A350s being prepared for various airlines. The meticulous assembly and testing process will take place in Toulouse before the aircraft embarks on its journey to Emirates’ home base in Dubai.
The first of these A350s is expected to enter service in August 2024, with subsequent deliveries scheduled through to 2028.
