Emirates has announced the introduction of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the Dubai–Hangzhou route, with scheduled service set to begin on 18 February 2026.

Hangzhou will become the fourth Chinese city served by Emirates’ A350 fleet, following recent deployments to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The daily service to Hangzhou will operate under flight numbers EK356/EK357, offering passengers a refreshed onboard experience and improved fuel efficiency.

The A350’s deployment is part of Emirates’ phased fleet integration plan, with the airline set to receive 10 A350s by March 2026. These aircraft are configured with three cabin classes, including Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, and are designed to support long-haul operations with reduced environmental impact.

The introduction of the A350 to Hangzhou aligns with Emirates’ long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in East Asia. Hangzhou, a major commercial and tech hub in Zhejiang Province, has seen growing demand for international connectivity, particularly in the post-pandemic recovery phase.

Emirates resumed passenger services to Hangzhou in August 2023 using Boeing 777 aircraft. The upcoming fleet upgrade is expected to enhance passenger comfort and operational efficiency while supporting bilateral trade and tourism.
