Indian airliner Vistara to commence direct flights to Velana International Airport starting 3rd March 2021.
Vistara will operate weekly three times connecting Mumbai, India to Male’, Maldives with direct flights.
Vistara will be using Airbus A320NEO which features a three-class cabin configuration making Vistara the only airline to offer travelers the choice of premium economy in addition to business and economy cabins on flights between India and Maldives.
“Our new service to the Maldives will give travelers greater access to one of India’s most preferred holiday destinations. We are delighted at the opportunity of taking India’s best airline to more places and offering the very best of air travel to people flying between India and the Maldives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene,” said Leslie Thng, chief executive officer.
Due to high passenger demand from India, airlines from India have been increasing frequency of flights to the Maldives. Presently Indigo, Go Air, and Spicejet operates flights to the Maldives. National Airline Maldives operates flights to Trivandrum and Cochin from Male’.
Vistara has a fleet of 45 aircraft and operates to 34 destinations.
