Villa Air FlyMe on route for international jet operations


Villa air FlyMe has expressed plans to commence international jet operations connecting the Maldives to India, Sri Lanka, and China by the first quarter of 2021.


The airline recently received approval for international flights and has operated the very first international flight to Sri Lanka on 4th September.

Flyme is working towards bringing two Airbus A319 aircraft for their jet operation. The airline is presently ready to commence flights Ratmalana Airport, Sri Lanka as soon as the Sri Lankan borders are reopened

The Airbus A319 is a member of the A320 family of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger twin-engine airliner with a passenger capacity of 124 to 156 with a maximum range of 3,700 nm (6,900 km; 4,300 mi).


The airline presently operates using the ATR 72-600/500 and the ATR 42-500 primarily to Maamigili Airport and to Dharavandhoo Airport from Velana International Airport.
