Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a directive to resume international air services with Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the Maldives on a mutual basis, the government’s press service reported on Thursday.
Two flights a week are to be operated to Velana International Airport. Regular air service between Russia and other countries was interrupted at the end of March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
During the month of August, over 7,628 tourists visited the Maldives from which 423 were from the Russian Federation.
