Qatar Airways to airlift 300 tonnes of medical equipment free of charge to India


Qatar Airways will be transporting 300 tones of medical equipment free of charge to India through its efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The medical equipments include PPE kits, oxygen canisters, and other essential medical items which were donated by individuals and business around the world.

Qatar Airways has already transported over 20 million doses of COVID19 vaccines under the MoU with UNICEF in the UNICEF’s Humanitarian Airfreight Initiative.

Total COVID19 cases have risen to 18 million as of today with 300,000 new cases daily. Deaths from COVID-19 have reached to 205,000 according to reports.
