Maldivian Launches Journey+, Introducing New Personalized Travel Options for Passengers

Maldivian has officially rolled out Journey+, a comprehensive suite of optional travel services designed to give passengers greater flexibility, comfort and convenience throughout their journey. The programme covers priority airport processing, additional baggage options, lounge access, cabin upgrades and pre‑ordered snacks.

Journey+ Premier

Maldivian’s priority airport service, Journey+ Premier, allows passengers to move through the airport more efficiently.

Domestic airports offering Priority Check‑In and Priority Baggage include Velana International Airport, Maafaru International Airport, Hanimaadhoo International Airport and Gan International Airport.

For international flights, the service extends further, offering Priority Check‑In, Priority Baggage and Priority Boarding, allowing passengers to move through the airport more efficiently.

Journey+ Bags

Journey+ Bags provides passengers with the option to pre‑purchase additional baggage allowance at lower rates than airport walk‑up charges. Domestic travellers can select from +3 kg, +6 kg, +9 kg or +12 kg add‑ons. Prepayment ensures the extra allowance is confirmed before arrival at the airport, reducing last‑minute uncertainty.

Journey+ Relax

With Journey+ Relax, passengers can enjoy pre‑purchased lounge access at selected locations. The service offers a quieter environment with light food and beverages, allowing travellers to unwind before boarding.

Journey+ Upgrade

On eligible international flights, Journey+ Upgrade allows passengers to move to Premium or Business Class for a fixed fee. Upgrades are subject to aircraft type and seat availability, giving travellers the opportunity to enjoy enhanced comfort during their flight.

Journey+ Bites

Journey+ Bites introduces a convenient pre‑order snack and beverage combo for all domestic flights. Each combo includes one beverage and one snack, offering a simple and efficient option for passengers who prefer to plan ahead.

Purchasing Journey+

All Journey+ services must be purchased at least 24 hours before departure.

Passengers can buy through the Maldivian Call Centre, Q2 Ticketing Office, Passenger Sales Agents, General Sales Agents, Maldivian Viber (/FlyQ2) and Maldivian WhatsApp (3335544).
