Qatar Airways Boeing 777 Returns Back To VIA After Cockpit Window Shatters Mid-flight

Qatar Airways Boeing 777-200 performing flight QR677 from Male’ to Doha returned to Velana International Airport after the airplanes cockpit windshield shattered.

The Boeing 777 was cruising at 38,000ft when the incident occurred. The crew declared emergency and decided to return back to Velana International Airport.

The aircraft returned and safely landed at Velana International Airport at 21:51 local time.
