Maldivian Seaplane crew returning after second Seaplane operation in India.

Maldivian seaplane crew consisting of pilots, cabin crews, and engineers are returning to the Maldives after the second wet lease operation in India.

This is the first seaplane services provided in India that is carried out by Spice Jet airlines with assistance from national airline Maldivian.

Initially started in late October 2020, the seaplane operations were halted as the aircraft was required to be brought back to the Maldives for mandatory maintenance. Presently the required maintenance cannot be completed in India.

The services were resumed for the second time on 27th December 2020 and Spice jet schedules two daily flights between the Statue of Unity near Kevadiya in Gujarat's Narmada district and the Sabarmati riverfront.
