GOL Suffers A Net Loss Of US$414 Million In The First Half Of 2021

Brazilian budget airliner reported a net loss of US$414 million in the first half of 2021.


GOL received a revenue of US$511 million I’m the first half of 2021 which is a 25.9% decrease compared to 2020s a 59% decrease against 2019’s.

Despite the loss in the first half of 2021, the airline is optimistic about the recovery in the second half of the year.


“Brazilians are not hesitant about getting vaccinated. We are confident that approximately 85% of over 30s in Brazil will be immunized at the end of the third quarter this year.” - Paulo Kakinoff, CEO, GOL


As vaccine administration is underway in Brazil air travel is expected to improve over the coming months.
