Emirates has extended the ban on flights from India to UAE until 30th June. The carrier initially imposed the ban on 24th April.

The flight restrictions were enforced due to the high number of COVID19 cases in India. The total number of cases has crossed 28.3 million with over 100,000 new cases recorded per day recently.

Etihad Airways also banned flights from India until 14th June, it is unclear yet if the airline is further extending the ban.

Passengers from India and passengers who have transited through India within the last 14 days prior departure are not permitted entry to UAE.

Desperate passengers wanting to return to UAE are flying to other countries and spending 14 days there before taking a flight to the UAE.
