BREAKING: A Russian Antonov An-26 With 28 Passengers Goes Missing

A Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise’s Antonov An-26 aircraft with 22 passengers and six crew goes missing in Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.


The aircraft was operating a flight from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Palana but failed to report back to Air Traffic Control.


There are conflicting reports regarding the last whereabouts of the aircraft with one source reporting the airplane may have crashed into the sea while the other reporting the airplane may have gone down near a coal mine in the town of Palana.


Search and rescue efforts have begun to locate the aircraft.
