China Eastern Airlines Resumes Flights To Maldives
The third largest airline in China, China Eastern Airlines has resumed flights from China to the Maldives.
China Eastern Airlines halted operations in the Maldives follwing the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in heavy travel restrictions in China.
The first flight since COVID, MU5079 from Shanghai, China was given a water salute upon arrival at Velana International Airport (VIA).
At present Beijing Capital Airlines operate flights from China where as China Southern Airlines will begin flights to Maldives in February. Hong Kong Airlines also has shown interest to operate flights to VIA.
