Maldivian, the national flag carrier of the Maldives, is pleased to announce the resumption of its flight services between Hanimaadhoo International Airport and Trivandrum, India, starting from April 12, 2024.

This strategic flight restoration further solidifies Maldivian’s commitment to connecting the northern territory of the Maldives with key regional destinations.

By enhancing travel options for passengers in the north, this route promotes cultural exchange and fosters economic ties between the two nations.

Mr. Ibrahim Iyas, Managing Director of Maldivian, emphasized the significance of relaunching this route. “The resumption of this route greatly benefits our customers and contributes to the economy of the northern Maldives. It underscores our commitment to improving air connectivity in the region, bolstering the travel trade, and supporting socioeconomic growth. We extend our gratitude to all the authorities and partners involved, with special recognition to the Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL).”

The renewed service from Hanimaadhoo to Trivandrum marks an exciting milestone for both Maldivian and travelers seeking seamless connectivity between the Maldives and South India.

With Trivandrum’s rich history, diverse culture, and thriving business opportunities, this route adds significant value to Maldivian’s ever-expanding network.
