Manta Air has made a significant stride by launching direct international flights between Maldives and India.
This strategic route allows visitors to bypass the usual transit through the main Velaana International Airport in Male, saving them hassles and additional expenses.
Moreover, it provides direct access to several luxury resorts located in the picturesque Dhaalu atoll.
Dhaalu atoll hosts some of the Maldives’ finest resorts, including Kandima Maldives, Niyama Private Islands, St. Regis Maldives, RIU, Baglioni, Angsana Velavaru, and Sun Siyam Iru Veli.
Mohamed Khaleel, CEO of Manta Air, expressed enthusiasm about this milestone: “We are progressing from being the leading domestic and seaplane carrier in the Maldives to an international airline operator. With Manta Air’s expansion through this new direct flight route from India to the Maldives, we anticipate a surge in travel interest and bookings from Indian tourists. By facilitating easier and more affordable travel access to the Maldives, we foresee a substantial increase in travel demand from Bengaluru and across India in 2024 and beyond.”
Manta Air, in collaboration with premium partner resorts, will curate exclusive packages for properties conveniently connected to Dhaalu Airport, further enhancing the allure of this tropical paradise.
The first flight MAV4411 from Bangalore is expected to land at Dhaalu at 11:30 local time.
