Air Ambulance Flights To Be Operated To Sri Lanka From March


Earlier this month the Maldivian announced the commencement of the first air ambulance service in the Maldives.



Under the plan one of the Maldivian Dash8s will be converted to operate as a dedicated Air Ambulance aircraft full time.


This is the first time such an air ambulance service will be launched in the Maldives. Before this, the only dedicated aircraft utilized for such service was with aircraft belonging to the Indian Navy. The introduction of this service will provide a much-needed boost to the country’s healthcare infrastructure.


The De Havilland Canada Dash 8 aircraft is a versatile aircraft that can be used to operate to all domestic airports in the Maldives and additionally to both India and Sri Lanka internationally. This aircraft is known for its fuel efficiency, reliability, and ability to operate in challenging environments.


This decision to launch this service is a sign of the country’s growing aviation industry and its commitment to providing better service to its citizens.
