Velana International Airport is urging all travelers to arrive at the airport 3 hours before their departure time due to an expected influx of Hajj Pilgrims returning to the Maldives between July 7th and 14th.
This period will result in a significant increase in passenger movements at both the international and domestic terminals.
To ensure smoother operations and a more efficient travel experience for all, Velana International Airport is advising travelers to allow extra time for check-in, security, and boarding procedures.
The airport has seen a major rise in local travelers due to the coincidence of Eid holidays with school holidays, in addition to the Hajj Pilgrim travelers. By arriving early, travelers can help facilitate a more efficient travel experience for all and avoid any potential delays or disruptions.
