French Bee to Launch Maldives and Sri Lanka Flights From France

French bee is set to broaden its long‑haul footprint with the introduction of two new Indian Ocean routes, adding nonstop service to Malé in the Maldives and Colombo in Sri Lanka. Both destinations will be served exclusively from Paris‑Orly, with flights beginning 19 December 2026.

The airline has opened sales effective today, marking another step in its strategy to diversify its network and strengthen its presence in high‑demand leisure markets.

French bee CEO Marc‑Antoine Blondeau said the expansion fits squarely within the carrier’s growth ambitions, noting that both destinations remain underserved by direct services from France. He highlighted the complementary appeal of the two markets: the Maldives’ globally renowned resort tourism and Sri Lanka’s rising popularity for culture, nature, and wellness travel.

The airline aims to capture both segments while maintaining its core promise of making long‑haul travel more accessible.

French bee will operate the route as a triangular service Paris‑Orly → Malé → Colombo → Paris‑Orly allowing passengers to choose either destination or combine both in a single trip.

Introductory round‑trip fares:

• Colombo fares From €599 in Eco Blue and €1,365 in Premium Blue

• Malé fares From €649 in Eco Blue and €1,399 in Premium Blue

Flights will operate from 19 December 2026 to 2 May 2027, with frequencies adjusted to match seasonal demand:

19 Dec 2026 – 10 Jan 2027

• Two weekly triangular flights (Monday, Saturday)

11 Jan – 7 Mar 2027

• Two weekly triangular flights (Thursday, Saturday)

• One weekly direct Paris–Colombo flight (Monday)
