Pratt & Whitney Canada Records 1 Billion Engine Hours

Pratt & Whitney Canada is a Canada-based aircraft engine manufacturer which is a division of the larger US-based Pratt & Whitney.


Over the years Pratt & Whitney Canada has produced over 110,000 engines with more than 66,000 currently in service and powering over 16,000 customers. Pratt & Whitney Canada is today celebrating one billion flying hours.

Pratt & Whitney Canada-produced engines currently power the DHC6 Twin Otters, Dash8s, and ATRs that are flown in Maldives. The company currently has about 10,000 employees worldwide, with 6,000 of them based in Canada.
