National airline Maldivian is set to launch direct flights between Hanimaadhoo International Airport and Bangalore's Kempegowda International Airport on May 15, 2025.

The airline will operate twice-weekly flights, departing Hanimaadhoo every Sunday and Thursday, while return flights from Bangalore will be available on Monday and Friday. The flights will be operated using the ATR.
To celebrate the inaugural launch, Maldivian is offering a special return fare of USD 337. Bookings for the route are available through Maldivian's official website, mobile app, and ticketing offices.
This new service strengthens the cultural and economic ties between the Maldives and India, particularly benefiting travelers from the northern Maldives who previously had limited direct international flight options. With existing services between Hanimaadhoo and Trivandrum, the addition of Bangalore further solidifies Maldivian's commitment to connecting the northern islands with key destinations.
