A Twitter account by the username ‘ElonJet’ that has been updating information on the whereabouts of Billionaire Elon Musk’s private jet has been suspended from Twitter.
The user was providing aircraft tracking information which is publicly available for anybody to track.
The account was created by University of Central Florida student Jack Sweeney in June 2020.
Twitter initially had heavy visibility filtering on the ElonJet before returning the account to normal working status and then ultimately suspending the account.
ElonJet first received wide attention after Elon Musk offered USD 5,000 to take down the account which Jack Sweeney refused to accept.
Following the purchase of Twitter; Elon Musk has said he will not be banning the account citing “commitment to free speech”.
