S7 Airlines to Launch Direct Flights from Novosibirsk to the Maldives This October

S7 Airlines, one of Russia's largest domestic carriers, has announced the launch of direct flights from Novosibirsk to Malé, the capital of the Maldives, beginning October 30. The new route marks the first regular service connecting Novosibirsk to the Maldives outside the Moscow aviation hub.

The service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A320 family aircraft. The outbound flight departs Tolmachevo International Airport (OVB) in Novosibirsk at 04:25, arriving at Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé at 13:00 local time. The return flight leaves Malé at 14:10 and arrives back in Novosibirsk at 02:30 the following morning. The route includes a short technical refueling stop in Jaipur, India.
Tickets are already on sale through S7's website, mobile application, and sales offices. One-way fares start at 70,000 rubles for the light fare with carry-on baggage only, while seats including checked baggage begin at 85,000 rubles. Round-trip fares with baggage start at approximately 93,400 rubles.
Tour operator TEZ TOUR has opened package tour sales departing from Novosibirsk on the new S7 service, with early booking discounts of up to 50 percent on accommodation. Package tours for November start at 176,013 rubles per person for double occupancy.
S7's expansion comes amid a broader wave of airlines launching or expanding services to the Maldives. According to a briefing delivered by Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Hon. Mohamed Ameen on 10 September 2026, seven airlines are expected to commence seasonal operations to the Maldives during the final quarter of 2026.
The launch comes as S7 Airlines continues to expand its international network, targeting underserved regional markets with direct services to popular leisure destinations.
