Premium leisure carrier Beond is scheduled to operate a special flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) to Kobe, Japan today.

The service marks a notable addition to the airline’s growing network of point-to-point leisure destinations, linking the Maldives with Japan’s scenic Kansai region. Unlike standard commercial rotations, the flight is understood to be a special operation, catering to travel demand between the two tourism hubs.

Beond, which brands itself as the world’s first premium leisure airline, has been progressively expanding its footprint across Asia and the Middle East. The Kobe service underscores the carrier’s strategy of targeting high-value routes with tailored flight schedules.

Beond is also preparing for a major scale‑up of its operations over the next several years, supported by an ambitious fleet and network expansion strategy. The airline is also exploring new markets such as Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Bangkok, NEOM, and AlUla, while evaluating additional long‑haul and premium‑leisure destinations across Europe and Asia.

With its expanding fleet, new operating certificates, and a growing list of premium destinations, Beond aims to significantly increase its global footprint while continuing to position the Maldives as a leading luxury‑travel hub.
