Role Overview
Selected trainees will undergo structured training to provide air traffic services within the Maldives Flight Information Region (FIR) and the Malé Control Zone. Responsibilities include maintaining safe separation between aircraft, managing traffic flow, and supporting the overall safety and efficiency of national airspace operations. All positions are based on shift duty, covering 24/7 operations.
Key Responsibilities
Providing air traffic services within the Maldives FIR to prevent collisions and maintain an orderly flow of traffic.
Delivering air traffic services within the Malé Control Zone.
Working within a dynamic operational team to address complex challenges and enhance aviation safety.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum B passes in GCE O’Level English Language and Mathematics.
Completion of Grade 12 or A’ Level (preferred).
A Technical Diploma or accredited Degree is an added advantage.
Age: 18 years and above, with preference for candidates aged 20–25 due to long‑term training and licensing requirements.
Must meet all medical and security clearance standards.
Maldivian citizens only.

Strong spatial awareness and solid mathematical skills.

Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions.
Accountability in operational decision‑making.

Selection Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated with interview performance accounting for 60% of the assessment and academic qualifications making up the remaining 40%. The process is designed to identify applicants who demonstrate both the technical ability and the personal discipline required for air traffic control duties.
