MACL Signs Agreement to Develop Sports Complex in R. Dhuvaafaru

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) CEO & Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed signed an agreement today with the Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Raafiu to develop a sports complex in R. Dhuvaafaru.

The signing took place in the presence of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during his visit to the island, where he met with government and local representatives.

Earlier this year, MACL has also been involved in several national projects, including the ongoing Velana International Airport terminal expansion, the agreement to develop Vilufushi Airport in Thaa Atoll, and reviews of domestic airports following the merger of Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL).

The new sports complex project adds to MACL’s recent activities, showing its role in both aviation and wider infrastructure development across the Maldives.
