British Airways has cancelled multiple flights across the Middle East as the airline continues to respond to heightened regional tensions and evolving airspace restrictions. The cancellations affect services to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and Israel, with the suspension currently in place through at least 15 March.

The airline confirmed that flights to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Amman, Bahrain and Tel Aviv remain grounded while safety assessments continue. British Airways emphasised that no service will operate unless conditions are deemed fully safe, noting that the situation remains fluid and subject to ongoing review.

To support customers stranded in the region, particularly those in Oman and the UAE the airline has added several extra Muscat–London Heathrow flights between 6th and 12th March. These flights are intended exclusively for existing British Airways passengers whose travel plans were disrupted by the cancellations. The airline has urged travellers not to go to the airport without a confirmed booking, as many of the additional services have already reached full capacity.

Passengers booked to travel to or from the affected countries are being offered flexible options, including:

  • Rebooking to a later date

  • Rerouting to an alternative destination, subject to availability

  • Full refunds for those who prefer not to travel

Flights between London and Larnaca have also been included in the temporary flexibility policy, reflecting the wider operational impact across the region.

British Airways says it is “closely monitoring the situation” and will continue to adjust its schedule as required. All other BA flights are operating normally, and customers are advised to check their flight status before travelling to the airport.
