An expat pilot employed in India at regional airline Alliance Air was detained after he was spotted taking pictures of an Indian Air Force Staton.

Last Monday on 9th January, the pilot who was from Brazil was confronted by Indian Airforce Officers after he was spotted taking pictures and videos of the Aerodrome.
The officers detained the pilot and the matter was raised to the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Civil flights are permitted to IAF Stations however there are strict rules in place such as the prohibition of aerial/ground photography from an aircraft.
The pilot was released after a few hours and the flight departed back several hours behind schedule.
