VIA sees 69% increase in passenger arrival in the second full month of border reopening.

Velana International Airport sees a 69% increase in passenger arrival in the second full month since border reopening.

A total of 7,607 passengers arrived at the Maldives in the first month of reopening and over 12,883 passengers arrived in the second month. The airport is expected to see further growth in the months ahead as more airlines are scheduled to commence operations.


Edelweiss announced recently regarding their restart on the 26th of September while air India, Indio, and Aeroflot resumed operations during the month of September.
