The United Nations, and subsidiary agencies, has cautioned its staff against flying with all 14 Pakistani carriers, including national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

This has come after it was revealed by Pakistani aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan that over 262 licensed pilots had been found to have suspicious or fake pilot licenses.

With the pilot license scandal, EASA has revoked PIA's 'third part authorization', subsequently banning PIA from flying in European airspace which the airline has not appealed against.
