Ace travels Maldives in partnership with Indigo Airlines is organizing charter flights between Addu Atoll, Maldives, and Cochin, India.
The charter flights began on 16th August and the second charter flight arrived in Gan this afternoon.
Most of the passengers on these flights are arriving in the Maldives to complete a 14 day quarantine period before departing to their destination.
Demand for quarantine passengers from India rose as the travel ban on flights to the Maldives from South Asian countries was lifted.
Many are required to fly to a second country to complete the quarantine period as certain countries do not allow passengers direct entry from India.
IndiGo Airlines at present operates direct scheduled flights from Mumbai, Kochi, and Bengaluru to Velana International Airport.
