Flybe Dash8 Q400 to be converted to Air Tanker’s for Conair Group

Conair Group has acquired 11 Bombardier Q400 turboprops previously operated by Flybe.

Conair is a Canadian company specializing in fire management support by providing services and products to forest protection agencies around the world.

The Q400 will be capable of serving both the initial attack and sustained support roles and would contain a 10,000-litre retardant tank.

Conair group has a fleet of 59 aircraft which includes De Havilland Dash8, Cessna Citation Jet, Lockheed L-188 Electra, and more.

Conair plans to replace the older and larger aircraft in Conair’s fleet with faster, more maneuverable, and fuel-efficient aircraft.
