A Trigana Air Boeing 737-400 skidded off runway at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport during landing this morning. The aircraft was returning back to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport due to a a problem with right main landing gear.
After departure, the crew stopped climb at 3,000ft due to the right main landing gear issue and subsequently decided to return to Halim Perdanakusuma airport for a landing.
The aircraft skidded on the runway on the left main gear, nose gear, and right engine pod. During the last stages of the roll out the aircraft veered right off the runway and came to a stop with all gear collapsed. Firefighters were on the scene right away and there were no reported fatalities.
According to media reports, the aircraft carried only cargo and there were no passengers on board.
