Air France Boeing 777 vandalized by activists

An Air France Boeing 777 parked at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport was vandalized by environmental activists from Greenpeace.

Nine members dressed in yellow and white climbed inside the airport from the outer fence on Friday morning and applied green paint to the aircraft. They were using spray paint and a long roller to apply paint.

Several of the protesters stood on the plane's wings, carrying banners reading: "Is there a pilot to save the climate?"

The Greenpeace NGO argues that recent proposals by France's transport minister, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, will not be enough to tackle the climate crisis.

Greenpeace France in a Statement has stated that it is necessary to regulate and reduce air traffic so that it will be compatible with the Paris Agreement. The activist since has been arrested by police.
