A VivaAeroBus Airbus A320 nose gear collapses while lining up for departure.

A VivaAeroBus Airbus A320-200, registration XA-VAZ was performing flight VB-4343 from Puerto Vallarta to Monterrey, Mexico.


The aircraft with 127 passengers on board was backtracking to line up for Runway 22 departure. As the aircraft was taking a 180 degree turn to line up for takeoff, the nose gear collapsed. The passengers were evacuated via slides and no injuries were reported. The occurrence is under investigation.



VivaAeroBus is a Mexican low-cost airline based in Monterrey International Airport in Mexico. The airline has a fleet of 41 Airbus A320/321’s operating to 42 destinations.
