Emirates Continues To Lead As The Top Airliner Carrying The Most Passengers To The Maldives In 2021

As a thrilling year closes to an end an incredible 1.2 million passengers have traveled to the Maldives.

Since the beginning of this year, Emirates has remained on the top of the arrival chart operating the most flights with the most passengers carried to Velana International Airport.

As of this Wednesday, Emirates has operated 2,658 flights carrying more than 230,000 passengers.

Qatar Airways remained closed behind Emirates in second place throughout 2021.

Qatar Airways has so far carried almost 200,000 passengers in 2,256 flights to Velana International Airport.

Emirates at present are handling its busiest movements this year with 1.1 million passengers expected to pass through Dubai’s terminal 3 this week.

Maldives is hoping to reach the 1.3 million tourist arrivals goal for 2021 before the end of the year.
