Cebu Pacific Becomes First Low-Cost Carrier In Asia To Use Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Cebu Pacific just became the first Asian low-cost carrier to use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as the carrier's brand new Airbus A330Neo used SAF on its delivery flight from Toulouse to Manila.


Cebu Oacific is currently undergoing a fleet modernization to have an all-neo fleet by 2027. The carrier has 14 A320Neo in order and 13 A330Neo in order.

The newest A330New registration RP-C3902, is configured with 459 seats in a single-class layout.


The Airbus A330neo achieves up to 25% less fuel burn than the previous generation making it one of the greenest aircraft in history.


SAF is made from renewable biomass and waste resources which gives a reduction of up to 80% in carbon emissions over the lifecycle of the fuel compared to traditional jet fuel.
