Manta Air started its flight operations with the aim to be the game-changer in the local aviation market.
In another feat; the airline today carried out the first seaplane flight with an all-female crew which includes the Captain, First Officer, and the Cabin Crew.
Cabin crew jobs in seaplanes are a predominantly male’ job with rarely any women involved even though 3 airlines are operating 60+ seaplanes all across the Maldives on a daily basis.
It is a physically demanding job as unlike typical airlines cabin crew jobs, the seaplane cabin crews carry out additional tasks such as baggage loading, refueling, etc.
Manta Air operated the first flight with an all-female cockpit crew in August last year.
