Manchester United’s Official Carrier Aeroflot Banned From Operating In UK
The United Kingdom has banned scheduled services that are owned or chartered by a person connected with Russia or which is registered from Russia from operating in the UK airspace.
Following the Russian Ukraine Conflict, it was reported that Manchester United was preparing to end the £40million agreement with Russian carrier Aeroflot.
As the Official Carrier of Manchester United, Aeroflot provides strategic advice to the club on travel arrangements for the team and officials.
The partnership with Manchester United was the airline's first global sports sponsorship deal.
Aeroflot which operates daily to London is now banned from operating in the UK as the country imposes further sanctions on Russia.
Manchester United’s players and staff did not use Aeroflot during the last trip to Atlético Madrid to play the Champions League round of 16’s first leg match and instead flew on Titan Airways.
