National airline Maldivian has operated the first test flight to the newly opened Faresmaathoda Airport.
Faresmaathodaa Airport was developed by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). This airport includes a 1,200m runway, passenger terminal, fire station, and other amenities costing an estimated MVR 144.8 million (USD 9.4 million).
Faresmaathodaa Airport will be the fourth airport to be opened in Huvadhoo Atoll after Kaadehdhdhoo Airport, Kooddoo Airport, and Maavarulu Airport.
