Muli Airport, which officially commenced operations in May 2025, is the first airport in Meemu Atoll. Built on 36 hectares of reclaimed land, the airport features a 1,500-meter runway and was developed by the Regional Airports Company Limited to improve transportation infrastructure and boost economic opportunities in the region.
The opening of Muli Airport is expected to significantly reduce travel time for passengers traveling to Meemu Atoll, removing the need for lengthy sea transfers. The availability of direct flights will provide faster and more efficient access to the atoll’s islands and resorts.
With the addition of Muli, Maldivian’s domestic network now covers 17 destinations, reinforcing its position as the leading domestic carrier in the Maldives.
Tickets for the new route are available for booking through Maldivian’s website, mobile app, and authorized sales channels. The route will be open for sale starting May 9, 2025.
