Maldivian is gradually phasing out its aging Dash 8 aircraft in favor of  modern and fuel-efficient ATR turboprops. With the arrival of  8Q-IAV, the airline is further strengthening its domestic operations, offering passengers a smoother and more enjoyable flying experience.

The ATR 42-600 is equipped with advanced avionics, optimized fuel efficiency, and a quieter, more comfortable cabin, making it an ideal choice for short-haul routes across the Maldives. It provides improved operational reliability while reducing environmental impact.
