MMPRC Signs MoU with Qatar Airways to Promote Maldives Tourism

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has entered into a strategic agreement with Qatar Airways at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2025, aiming to position the Maldives as a premier global destination.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focuses on utilizing Qatar Airways' extensive global network and Hamad International Airport to attract international travelers to the Maldives. With a shared vision of sustainable tourism development, the partnership seeks to boost connectivity, increase visitor arrivals, and highlight the Maldives’ unique charm and offerings.


The MoU was signed by MMPRC CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree and Matt Raos, Qatar Airways’ Senior Vice-President of Global Sales, in the presence of the Maldives’ Minister of Tourism and Environment. Both parties aim to expand tourism opportunities by targeting affluent travelers and showcasing the unmatched allure of Maldivian luxury, culture, and natural beauty.


The collaboration aligns with the ATM 2025 theme, “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity,” and underscores a mutual commitment to promoting sustainable and resilient tourism. Through innovative promotional strategies and enhanced accessibility, this partnership promises to elevate the Maldives’ standing as a world-class travel destination.
