Qatar Airways has extended the suspension of all scheduled flights until 6 March, following the continued closure of Qatari airspace amid heightened regional tensions. The airline confirmed that it cannot operate any inbound or outbound services through Doha while the airspace remains restricted under the directive of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA).

The suspension has brought all passenger and cargo movements at Hamad International Airport to a standstill, with aircraft grounded and travellers advised not to proceed to the airport unless they receive direct confirmation from the airline. Qatar Airways stated that it is closely coordinating with aviation authorities and will restart services immediately once clearance is granted.

Passengers have been urged to stay updated through the Qatar Airways website and mobile app, and to ensure their contact details are current so the airline can issue timely notifications regarding rebooking or travel changes. Those currently in Doha or requiring assistance have been directed to the airline’s official travel alerts page for support.

The airspace restrictions come as the Middle East continues to experience significant instability, leading to multiple airspace closures across the region. Qatar’s airspace remains restricted as a precautionary measure, contributing to widespread operational disruptions for carriers transiting the Gulf. Qatar Airways has reiterated that safety remains its highest priority and that flights will resume as soon as the situation allows.
