First Ever Private Jet Touches Down at Hanimaadhoo International Airport

Hanimaadhoo International Airport recorded a new operational milestone today with the first private jet movement conducted at the airport.

The airport’s expanded runway and upgraded infrastructure now allow it to accommodate a wider range of aircraft types, including private jets and narrow‑body commercial aircraft.

Hanimaadhoo International Airport reopened earlier this year with expanded facilities intended to support increased traffic to the northern region. Since opening, the airport has been handling scheduled domestic and international services, with today’s operation adding private aviation to its list of active traffic categories.

With the airport now fully operational, Hanimaadhoo is positioned to support a wider range of flight operations, and today’s movement marks the first recorded private jet arrival since the airport’s reopening.
