Cessna Citation III Crashes in Mexico, Killing Ten Near Toluca Airport

A Cessna Citation III private jet crashed near Licenciado Adolfo López Mateos International Airport (Toluca Airport) in San Pedro Totoltepec, State of Mexico, on 15 December 2025, killing all ten people on board, according to Mexican authorities.

The aircraft, registered XA‑PRO and operated by JetPro S.A. de C.V., was arriving from Acapulco when the crew declared an emergency on approach. The jet struck the roof of an industrial building before catching fire. Emergency services confirmed that eight passengers and two crew members were on board, with no casualties reported on the ground.
Firefighters and civil protection teams quickly contained the blaze and secured the area. Social media footage showed the jet descending rapidly before impact.
The Cessna Citation III (Model 650) is a mid‑size business jet introduced in the 1980s, widely used for executive transport. The aircraft involved was built in 1984 and had accumulated more than 11,000 flight hours.
