Maldivian Seeks Cargo Sales Agents in Australia, Russia, and South Korea Amid Expansion Drive

Island Aviation Services Ltd (IASL), the operator of national carrier Maldivian, has announced a trio of international Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the appointment of General Cargo Sales Agents (GSAs) in Melbourne Australia, Moscow Russia , and Incheon South Korea. The coordinated call for representation in these key markets signals Maldivian’s intent to expand its global presence.

The EOIs, published via the Maldives Government Gazette and official airline channels, invite qualified parties to submit proposals for representing Maldivian’s cargo services in each respective city. The reference numbers are as follows:

• Melbourne, Australia – Ref No. IAS/MIS/2025-2383

• Moscow, Russia – Ref No. IAS/MIS/2025-2381

• Incheon, South Korea – Ref No. IAS/MIS/2025-2382

Interested parties must submit their EOI forms and required documentation via email to procurement.admin@iasl.aero, with copies to mohamed.ziyau@iasl.aero and mohamed.shaee@iasl.aero, no later than 23:59 hrs Maldives local time (GMT +0500) on November 10, 2025.

Maldivian currently operates a fleet of ATR, Dash-8, Airbus A320 and A330 family aircraft, serving domestic and international destinations. The airline’s move to establish cargo representation in Australia, Russia, and South Korea may indicate future plans for expanded operations and potentially new passenger routes in these markets.
