MACL Pays MVR 25,000 Bonus to Eligible Employees

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has issued an annual bonus of MVR 25,000 to its employees.

Staff who completed at least six months of service during the previous year received the bonus on a pro-rata basis, while those with full year service were granted the full amount. Employees dismissed under disciplinary grounds were not eligible.

In the weeks leading up to the payout, internal discussions had surfaced regarding the status of this year’s bonus. Questions were raised across departments, and speculation circulated among staff about whether the bonus would be issued. Despite the uncertainty, MACL proceeded with the disbursement as per policy.

MACL remains one of the highest revenue generating entities in the government and public sector.
