Azerbaijan Airlines Signs Partnership with Maldivian

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives. This alliance is set to enhance passenger connectivity and promote tourism between Azerbaijan and the Maldives.

Under the new agreement, AZAL passengers arriving at Velana International Airport in Malé will gain streamlined access to 17 distinct islands across the Maldives, leveraging Maldivian’s domestic flight network. The partnership enables seamless interline transfers, simplifying travel logistics for tourists and business travelers alike.

The strategic alignment not only facilitates smoother travel but also strengthens diplomatic and economic ties between Azerbaijan and the Maldives. With tourism being a key economic driver for both nations, the partnership is expected to stimulate visitor flows, support local hospitality sectors, and foster broader aviation development.
